According to evolutionary biologist Elisabet Sahtouris, evolution is not a fight between the species. Beyond individual rivalry, nature is a refined network where cooperation is strong. This evolution leads to a new humanity which does not exploit and rule, but participates in its surrounding and evolutes with it. Because the earth is living, says Sahtouris. The earth is not a mechanical, hierarchical system, but an organic, self-creating system. The whole cosmos is a living organism that organizes itself.
